Getting to Tobermory...
Tobermory is on the Island of Mull and is only accessible by ferry. Three ferry services operate all year round from the mainland. These are Oban - Craignure [ ], Lochaline - Fishnish [ ] and Kilchoan - Tobermory [ ] and are operated by Cal-Mac. Please visit their web site for timetable, fare and booking information. We do recommend that all Oban / Craignure ferries are booked in advance as this is the most popular crossing and is very busy all year round.
After you disembark at either Craignure or Fishnish, proceed off the ferry. At the junction with the main road, turn right and travel straight along the A848 for 20 miles or 14 miles respectively, where you will be greeted with the "Welcome to Tobermory" road sign. If you are entering Tobermory via this route, then please follow the 'purple arrows' on the map below...
If you are travelling from Kilchoan to Tobermory, please follow the 'green arrows' on the map below for directions after disembarking the ferry in Tobermory.
Once in Tobermory...
